The Service Representative role involves assisting credit union members with various financial transactions and inquiries. This position is responsible for promoting and selling credit union products and services, opening and managing financial accounts, issuing debit and pre-paid cards, and ensuring adherence to credit union policies and procedures. The role also includes performing a variety of member transactions such as deposits, loan payments, withdrawals, and check cashing, while maintaining the security of cash and member information. Additionally, the Service Representative identifies member needs, resolves concerns, and contributes to business development by understanding all products and services. The position also involves correspondence, data entry, file maintenance, and assisting the Branch Manager as needed. Training new representatives and recommending policy changes are also part of the duties. Compliance with Bank Secrecy and Anti-Money Laundering Acts is a key responsibility.
