About The Position

The Ambulatory Service Representative promotes increased utilization of Loyola services by maintaining a customer service attitude that reflects the mission, vision and values of Loyola Medicine. The individual ensures effective clerical operations for the service area and performs all job duties under the highest customer service standards to exceed customer expectations. Always conveys a professional and positive image of Loyola Medicine during interactions with patients, families, physicians, staff members and internal departments. This position is at multiple sites Monday through Friday for Family Medicine Ambulatory clinic.

Requirements

  • GED or High School level of education, required
  • At least one (1) year of work history, required.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree, preferred.
  • Training in general administration, business, healthcare, or a related field is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greeting Patients: Welcome and assist patients as they enter the physician practice. Your warm and friendly demeanor sets a positive tone for their visit.
  • Phone Management: Answer office phones professionally and assist callers by scheduling appointments and addressing inquiries.
  • Patient Registration: Efficiently check in patients, collect accurate demographic information, input data into the electronic system, and verify insurance details to ensure the patient's records are up-to-date.
  • Check-Out Assistance: Assist patients during the check-out process, provide guidance on referral processing, and assist with scheduling future appointments.
