About The Position

Ford Motor Credit Company is establishing Ford Credit Bank, a new de novo bank headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah, to offer innovative banking solutions for financing Ford and Lincoln vehicles and accepting deposits. The Bank will be a wholly owned subsidiary of Ford Credit. This role is crucial for the operational setup and ongoing management of the Bank's third-party ecosystem, including services provided by affiliates. As a member of the First Line of Defense, the Service Provider Oversight Lead will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of the Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) framework, ensuring external partnerships comply with risk appetite and federal regulations. The position will collaborate with Ford Credit’s Vendor Management and oversee Ford Credit as a Service Provider.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the financial services industry.
  • A minimum of 2 years specifically in Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM), Vendor Management, or Operational Risk within a bank.
  • Experience working with regulators.
  • Strong, working knowledge of banking regulations and guidance regarding third-party oversight and vendor management.
  • Experience operating within a First Line of Defense capacity.
  • Track record of performing oversight or audit functions.
  • Strong ability to interpret complex data, financial statements, and SOC 1/SOC 2 reports.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders in a high-pressure, regulated environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks across the vendor lifecycle.
  • Conduct pre-contract due diligence, evaluating provider financial health, operational resilience, and cybersecurity posture.
  • Assist in drafting and monitoring Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) with Legal and Procurement.
  • Ensure 'Right to Audit' and 'Step-in Rights' are documented as actionable tools.
  • Support a continuous monitoring program by tracking and analyzing performance data and SOC reports.
  • Serve as a point of contact for third-party service disruptions or data breaches, supporting operational response and remediation.
  • Facilitate timely communication of third-party issues to the Second Line (Risk/Compliance) and leadership.
  • Work with internal business unit leaders to help them achieve goals through third parties while maintaining a disciplined risk posture.
  • Assist with operational queries during regulatory examinations to document third-party risk management.
  • Help maintain an 'always-audit-ready' environment.
