About The Position

The Service Porter plays a key role in supporting the dealership's Service Department by ensuring vehicles are properly moved, maintained, and presented while delivering exceptional customer service. This position helps maintain an organized, safe, and efficient service environment and contributes to a positive customer experience.

Requirements

  • Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and safety.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout the workday.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Ability to successfully complete pre-employment requirements, including background check, motor vehicle record (MVR) review, and drug screening.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous automotive dealership, valet, porter, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers promptly and assist with directing vehicles to designated service areas.
  • Transport customer and dealership vehicles safely throughout the service drive, parking lot, and dealership property.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of service lanes, parking areas, customer waiting areas, and dealership grounds.
  • Assist service advisors and technicians by locating, staging, and delivering vehicles as needed.
  • Perform basic vehicle preparation tasks, including washing, vacuuming, fueling, and inspecting vehicles prior to customer delivery.
  • Monitor lot organization and ensure vehicles are parked in designated locations to maximize operational efficiency.
  • Follow all dealership safety policies and procedures while providing professional and courteous customer service.
