About The Position

Apex Solutions has been servicing clients since 2008, providing superior plumbing services to residential and commercial clients. As experts in our field, Apex Solutions is heavily invested in training its team, believing that a satisfied team leads to great customer service. This is a solid, long-term position where contributions are acknowledged. Apex is expanding its plumbing, HVAC, and electrical services and is opening a new office in Lexington, KY. They are looking for a dedicated plumber to support and grow plumbing operations in the Lexington area.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
Valid Kentucky Journeyman plumbing license
2+ years of experience in plumbing
Ability to operate and maintain various types of equipment
Ability to troubleshoot issues and find effective solutions
Good communication skills with clients and other team members
Knowledge of safety protocols and practices to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment
Precision and attention to detail
Candidates will be required to pass a background check and drug test upon being given a conditional offer of employment

Nice To Haves

Proven experience as a plumber
Solid understanding of water distribution and disposal systems in residential, commercial and industrial buildings
Working knowledge of drains, water lines and ventilation systems as well as appliances
Ability to handle plumbing tools and equipment (pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, plungers etc.)
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Friendly with a great deal of patience
Good physical condition and strength with the ability to work in awkward spaces
Diploma from a trade school or successful completion of apprenticeship

Responsibilities

Read blueprints and drawings to understand or plan the layout of plumbing, waste disposal and water supply systems
Cut, assemble and install pipes and tubes with attention to existing infrastructure (e.g. electrical wiring)
Install and maintain water supply systems
Locate and repair issues with water supply lines (e.g. leaks)
Repair or replace broken drainage lines, clogged drains, faucets etc.
Repair domestic appliances (e.g. washing machines) and fixtures (e.g. sinks) etc.
Install and maintain gas lines
Install waste disposal and sanitary systems with well-functioning DWV systems
