Service Planner
About The Position
Western Express is seeking a Service Planner to join their team. This role involves effectively handling incoming driver requests, assisting with driver questions, and opening daily repair orders. The ideal candidate will work directly with technicians as needed for repairs and possess a courteous and positive attitude. Communication is a must in this fast-paced shop, requiring multi-tasking and strong organizational skills. The role also includes completing required documentation and reports in a timely manner, such as Inspection Reports for DOT and DOT Violations, and meeting commitments and deadlines.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of Transman preferred (VRMS coding knowledge another plus)
- Courteous and positive attitude
- Communication is a MUST!
- Multi-tasking and highly organized as this is a high paced shop.
- Working computer knowledge and the ability to type accurately.
- Thrives in a fast paced environment
- You consider yourself a forward thinking problem solver
- Must be excellent at oral communication with team members and with supervisor
- Extremely detail oriented
- Must possess demonstrated superior customer service skills.
- Must possess excellent computer skills

- Someone who has a bit of mechanical knowledge would be helpful
