This role involves assisting Painters I & II with preparation work and general maintenance in the painting area. The Service Painter III is expected to work in a safe and orderly manner, continuously seeking improvements and ensuring the safety of others. A positive attitude and role model behavior are important. The position requires maintaining a minimum set of tools, ensuring the care and maintenance of company equipment, and performing duties as assigned on work orders. Specific tasks include preparing machines for paint, assisting with the transformation of heavy equipment from various degrees of corrosion to a finished product, pressure washing or sandblasting, completing bodywork on various components, and cleaning/rebuilding paint guns, pumps, and pots. Additionally, the role involves performing various maintenance jobs around the shop, such as changing light bulbs, filters, and hoses on blast pots.
