About The Position
This role assists in machine yard/shop activities, including loading and unloading materials, parts, or products. The Service Laborer delivers parts or stock to designated work areas and operates heavy equipment for cleaning purposes. They utilize high-pressure steam-cleaning equipment to clean machinery, add coolant to machine reservoirs, and lubricate machine parts. Additionally, this position involves separating metal shavings, chips, and scrap materials from trash and placing them in bins for resale. A key responsibility is ensuring work areas are clean and safe. The role also includes performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Able to easily and effectively comprehend written material and communicate orally and in writing with employees and customers.
- 9th grade level education required.
- 6 months or less of formal education experience.

Responsibilities

- Delivers parts or stock to designated work areas.
- Operates heavy equipment to and from cleaning area.
- Utilizes high pressure steam-cleaning equipment to clean equipment.
- Adds coolant to reservoirs of machines and lubricates machine parts.
- Separates metal shavings, chips, and scrap materials from trash and places them in bins for resale.
- Ensures work areas are clean and safe.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
