Service Mechanic-Plant Operator (FT, Evening - New Milford)

This position is responsible for routine, preventative, operational and emergency services relating to physical plant, adjacent buildings and facility-related equipment.
Requirements
- HS GRAD/EQUIVALENT
- Mechanical knowledge & basic knowledge of electrical, HVAC & plumbing systems.
- Familiarity with hand and power tools.
- Language, mathematical & reasoning ability.
- Minimum five years experience.
Nice To Haves
- Plant operation & maintenance experience.
- Knowledge of safety management.
- OE-2 preferred.
Responsibilities
- Performs preventative maintenance on equipment as assigned.
- Completes assigned work orders.
- Maintains life safety equipment in accordance with NFPA. Prepares documentation.
- May document file, transport all archive items (NON-H.I.M).
- Carry house pager and complete tasks.
- Document and file all equipment manuals.
- Troubleshoot daily problems as needed.
- Move offices, furniture.
- Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
