About The Position

Leap Windows & Doors, a family-owned NC company, is seeking a Service & Measure Technician to maintain its high standards in the field. This role involves diagnosing and resolving issues with installed windows and doors, such as hardware, adjustments, glass, seals, and minor repairs, with a focus on fixing problems ideally on the first visit. Additionally, the technician will be responsible for taking precise measurements for all orders, as custom-built windows and doors depend on these numbers. The role also includes verifying order details with the customer, including models, colors, hardware, glass, and operation, before the order is placed. Accurate measurements are considered the most critical aspect of this job, ensuring smooth project execution.

Requirements

2 to 4 years of experience in window and door install, service, measurement, or a related trade.
Confidence reading a tape measure and doing basic construction math.
Working knowledge of hand and power tools.
Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
Personal smartphone with reliable cell and data service for field apps and documentation.
Strong customer-service and communication skills.
Comfort using mobile apps and field software for documentation.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Regularly lift and carry up to 50 to 75 pounds.
Work on ladders and at heights, indoors and out, in varying weather.
Move through homes including stairs, uneven terrain, and tight spaces.

Responsibilities
