Key responsibilities include providing and directing Front of House training, managing employee performance through evaluations, coaching, and discipline, and handling liquor orders, cost control, and compliance with liquor laws. The role also involves assisting in the development of key employees, assistant managers, and hourly staff, as well as participating in the hiring process for Front of House employees. The Service Manager directs employee work, sets schedules, assigns tasks, and fosters a fun, safe environment aligned with core values and operational goals, often implementing contests and incentives. Understanding and practicing safe food handling procedures are also essential.
