About The Position

EquipmentShare is hiring a Service Manager at their Advanced Solutions rental facility in San Antonio, TX. This role is responsible for leading a team of Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technicians (Mechanics) and transforming the construction industry through innovative technology and real-time support. The Service Manager will utilize the company's T3 platform to manage work orders, track machine service intervals, order parts, and diagnose issues, enabling efficient and effective problem-solving. The company emphasizes a people-first culture supported by cutting-edge technology, aiming to make jobs easier, safer, and more connected.

Requirements

  • Industry knowledge (rental industry or related construction field).
  • Ideally three years of maintenance and service experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Adaptable to the fast pace of a growing company.
  • Ability to quickly learn and stay up-to-date on EquipmentShare products and services.
  • Competitive yet team-oriented.
  • Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills.
  • High School diploma.
  • Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair preferred.
  • Experience leading maintenance teams.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
  • Must be at least 21 years old to operate a company vehicle.
  • Must be able to move, stand, stoop, and bend freely.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
  • Ability to pass a 10-panel drug screen.

Nice To Haves

  • Trade school certificate preferred.
  • Experience and/or a background in the construction industry.

Responsibilities

  • Create, assign, and monitor work orders using company technology.
  • Track machine service intervals.
  • Order parts.
  • Diagnose issues by analyzing data from various equipment makes and models.
  • Coordinate and supervise the quality performance of equipment mechanics and service personnel.
  • Schedule repairs for customer and company-owned rental equipment.
  • Maintain and nurture customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and inform them of new solutions.
  • Respond to and resolve customer inquiries, requests, and complaints.
  • Conduct employee training and development.
  • Maintain a safe work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
