About The Position

Sunland Park Dodge in El Paso, TX is seeking a highly motivated Service Manager who will lead by example and will oversee all aspects of our service operation. We are seeking an individual with a superior service record and the technical skills needed to lead a team. We are looking for a motivated and experienced Automotive Dealership Service Manager! The ideal candidate for the Service Manager position will have a broad-based knowledge in the daily operations of an Automotive Dealership Service Department and the personality to motivate, train, lead, recruit, and monitor the performance of service professionals. The qualified candidate will deliver exceptional value and satisfaction to our customers on a continuous basis to promote revenue growth in line with targeted business and financial objectives.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of automotive service manager experience with a proven track record of success
  • CDK experience is a plus!
  • Stellantis experience preferred
  • Must be bilingual (Spanish)
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Friendly and people-oriented personality with strong leadership skills
  • Ability to coach and mentor staff.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to build and lead a team.
  • Ability to be analytical, problem solve and multitask with 100+ ROs daily.

  • Willing to submit to a pre-employment background check, MVR & drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all operations in an auto service department to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Oversee the inspection of automobiles to identify faulty components and facilitate the process for repairs.
  • Supervise the activities of automotive service technicians to ensure efficient job performance and compliance with environmental laws and regulations.
  • Monitor inventory to regulate and ensure availability of required vehicle parts.
  • Hire, train and evaluate the productivity of the automotive service staff to acknowledge efficient employees and guide under-performing ones.
  • Take ownership of the customer’s experience by listening to the client’s needs and assisting in addressing their issues and resolving challenges.
  • Follow up with customers to obtain feedback and ensure they are satisfied with service received to promote 100% customer satisfaction.
  • Distribute work between technicians efficiently and manage the workflow of the shop.
