About The Position

As a Service Manager, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities and, where applicable, their families. This position based in Boxhill and is Fulltime role. Monday - Friday. Your key responsibilities will include (but not limited to): Leadership: Lead a dedicated team of disability support workers, providing high-intensity support to clients. Performance Management: Ensure the overall performance of the service aligns with annual work plans and meets established targets. Person-Directed Support: Promote person-directed support and community participation that exceeds minimum disability standards, all within available resources. Operational Excellence: Manage the day-to-day operations of supported accommodation services, surpassing identified Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Support Excellence: Provide high-quality support to customers and their families, offering management support to care staff. Please note that this role includes a component of rostered after-hours on-call duty.

Requirements

  • Management Experience: Demonstrated management experience, preferably within a community services environment.
  • Sector Knowledge: Understanding of legislation and standards relevant to the disability sector.
  • Person-Centered Approach: Knowledge and understanding of how to support staff in implementing contemporary and person-centered approaches to uphold the rights and support needs of individuals with disabilities.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Resource Management: Demonstrated ability to manage financial and staff resources within a complex environment.
  • Initiative and Organization: Excellent initiative, self-directed work practices, and highly developed organizational skills.
  • A relevant qualification and/or significant experience in the human services area
