About The Position

Municipal Emergency Services (MES), the nation's largest provider of firefighter equipment and service, is seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead our regional field service team. This is a leadership role for someone who enjoys developing people, improving operations, building customer relationships, and delivering exceptional service.

Requirements

3+ years of field service leadership experience
Background in fire service equipment, HVAC, automotive, heavy equipment, industrial maintenance, medical equipment, utilities, or similar industries
College degree preferred
Valid driver's license (REAL-ID required for access to federal facilities)
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Strong communication and leadership skills
Excellent customer service skills
Experience leading field service or technical service operations
Strong organizational and time management abilities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, business software and systems

Nice To Haves

Experience leading and managing mobile technicians
Experience with ERP or service management software
Mechanical aptitude
Experience managing KPIs and operational performance

Responsibilities

Lead and coach a team of field service technicians.
Participate in hiring processes for your assigned territory.
Oversee scheduling and daily service operations.
Build strong relationships with fire departments and municipal customers.
Partner with Sales to deliver exceptional customer experience.
Travel regularly throughout your region to support technicians and customers.
Monitor KPIs, improve operational performance, and drive business results.
Take ownership of customer issues until they are resolved.
Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, safety, and continuous improvement.
