About The Position

Mangino Buick & GMC are currently searching for a reliable, responsible and safe driver to fill our Service Lane Porter Position with the opportunity of Service Writer Apprentice. The Lane Porter role helps manage the service appointments by driving the vehicles into the garage after checking in, picking up and returning customer’s vehicles for appointments and upholding the Mangino Dealership standards. The ideal candidate will have customer service experience, a valid drivers license and the motivation to grow in the Service Department. Assisting and learning from the other Service Writers and completing any other task the department may need.

Requirements

Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
Able to lift, up to 50 pounds
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Customer Service Experience
Knowledge of basic automotive service
Ability to multitask and handle multiple responsibilities

Responsibilities

Greets customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Assist customers with either loading or unloading items.
Check vehicles in by moving them in and out of the service lane, plug in savvy as a GM requirement.
Maintains a safe, clean and organized service department. Including but not limited to: Mopping Washing windows Ensuring department is well stocked
Replenishes and tops off vehicle fluids as necessary.
Inspects parts, equipment, or vehicles for cleanliness, damage, and compliance with standards or regulations.
Maintain lot presentation; Keeps new and used vehicle lots neat and orderly, moving cars as directed by the general manager and in accordance with dealership display standards.
Assist with other duties and responsibilities your manager sees fit including but not limited to maintenance, service, repairs, parts, and sales
Aid service technicians as needed
Shadowing and learning from Service Writers for growth and opportunity and to also help the dealership with scheduling and staffing needs.
