Fresh Job Summary: The Service & Industrial Technician will maintain DECCO equipment in their respective packing houses and territory. Optimize equipment performance and improve product application. Positions requires strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to communicate with multiple departments within DECCO, customer management and customer staff.

Requirements

BS degree in a relevant STEM degree, or 3 years of experience with some technical training and/or certificates
Professional communication skills
Valid Drivers License
Experienced in electrical, PLC use, and control panel designs
Experience installing and troubleshooting mechanical and/or electrical systems
Able to read and work from CAD drawings and electrical diagrams
Strong written and verbal skills

Nice To Haves

Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
Experience working with agriculture or industrial chemicals
Experience working with sensors, transmitters, pumps, motors, and automation controls
PLC programming
Clean driving record
Computer skills: Word processor, spreadsheets, and other software

Responsibilities

Ability to design, install, configure, maintain, and optimize all control systems used by DECCO. This may include electrical and mechanical systems as well as PLCs, control panels, sensors, instrumentation, and automation equipment.
Maintain equipment and parts inventory to ensure availability and readiness for customer and internal service needs.
Ability to read blueprints schematics and diagrams to properly diagnose equipment malfunctions.
Troubleshoot, test, disassemble, repair, and reassemble company equipment including PLC/Control Panels, sprayers, pumps, motor, foggers and other equipment.
Provide support to service technicians and customers by finding solutions to various equipment malfunctions. This includes being onsite at our customer accounts on a frequent basis, working alongside our service and commercial teams, and being able to communicate the current functionality and working condition of our equipment and processes to all involved.
Provide advanced technical support and escalation assistance for complex service issues and equipment failures.
Obtain training and promote proper use and care of DECCO technical equipment.
Train service technicians on new equipment and best practices.
Maintain accurate maintenance records.
Support the onboarding, training, and development of service technicians and other team members by providing hands-on instruction, technical guidance, field coaching, and troubleshooting assistance.
Assist in developing training materials, standard procedures, and technical documentation to support continuous learning and service excellence.

Provide field service coverage when business needs require, including supporting customer service calls, scheduled maintenance, equipment installations, and emergency service work.
Serve as a backup resource for the Service Team during vacations, PTO, leaves of absence, open positions, peak workload periods, or other staffing shortages to ensure continuity of customer support and service delivery.
Provide and accept valuable input from internal and external partners to provide solutions for system needs.
Provide feedback to DECCO managers and others to keep team informed of field activities of opportunities and challenges.
Follow directions to meet deliverables.
Work with Industrial Technology Manager to drive advancements in innovation and continuous improvements of our application equipment, digital platforms, and new technologies.
Assist in identifying and implementing improvements that enhance equipment reliability, service efficiency, system performance, and customer value.
