The Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) seeks applicants for a Service Forestry Intern - Central Region (Contracted Student Interns Unpaid), 2026 Fall Semester. This unpaid internship is designed to support students or recent graduates seeking practical experience in the field, and interns may be eligible to earn academic credit. The intern will support the Service Forestry Program, also known as Private Lands Forestry, which provides education, information, support, and technical expertise to landowners and municipalities throughout the Commonwealth. The role involves supporting office staff with tasks such as filing, scanning, cataloging educational materials, and updating spreadsheets. Opportunities to attend outreach events, workshops, and conduct field site visits with a Service Forester will be provided. The work environment is expected to have a 2:1 ratio of office to field hours.
