About The Position

The Larson Group Peterbilt is looking for an experienced Service Foreman to join their dynamic team. This role involves exercising direct supervision of mechanical personnel, assisting them with diagnosing customer complaints and recommending necessary repairs. The Service Foreman will also assist in greeting customers, writing repair orders, and estimating repair costs.

Requirements

High School diploma.
Must possess or be able to obtain a CDL.
Experience in a related field is required.
This is a safety-sensitive position.

Nice To Haves

A certificate or degree from a trade school is preferred.

Responsibilities

Daily supervision of service technicians and assigning work accordingly.
Managing technicians' time on jobs to ensure they meet efficiency and productivity goals.
Maintaining shop policy to keep costs below 2% of revenue.
Checking and reviewing work in progress, following up for completion as scheduled, and maintaining specific closure rates and lag times.
Inspecting and road testing vehicles to ensure work has been completed properly.
Ensuring all safety rules and company policies are followed.
Resolving customer complaints and keeping the Service Manager informed of all customer complaints and technician problems.
Assisting in maintaining a clean shop and ensuring special tools and shop equipment are in proper operating condition and used correctly.
Assisting the Service Writer in opening and completing Repair Orders and estimates.
Acting as a liaison between the customer and technicians.
Reviewing repair orders to ensure technicians have entered detailed descriptions of repairs and T/S steps, and that all pictures and downloads are saved and attached.
Pre-planning parts requirements for each job to ensure parts are available when needed.
Working with the Service Manager and Salespersons to ensure all sold trucks are prepared properly for the customer.
Performing other duties as assigned.
