Service Field Tech - Relay Testing and Maintenance are expected to perform service, test and maintain various types of power transmission and distribution equipment. This role involves inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, and collecting data for low, medium, and high voltage electrical systems. The technician will install, commission, test, and maintain protective relaying equipment, develop standardized procedures, and perform functional testing of substation control circuits. They will also create relay macros, execute end-to-end relay testing, and review relay settings and logic equations. Responsibilities include testing and maintaining transformers, circuit breakers, and related equipment, as well as testing low and medium voltage cable installations. The role may also involve working with SF6 filled equipment and operating high voltage test equipment. Troubleshooting and repair of controls and transfer schemes are also part of the duties. The position requires rotating on-call duty for customer emergencies and strict compliance with all regulatory laws. Other duties may be assigned by management.
