Service Field Tech or NETA Technicians are expected to perform service, test and maintain various types of power transmission and distribution equipment. This role involves inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, performing start-ups, and collecting data on low, medium, and/or high voltage electrical systems. Responsibilities include installing, commissioning, testing, and maintaining protective relaying equipment, developing standardized procedures, performing functional testing of substation control circuits, creating relay macros and testing routines, executing end-to-end relay testing, and reviewing relay settings and logic equations. The role also encompasses testing and maintaining switchgear, circuit breakers, transformers, and cable installations, operating high voltage test equipment, and performing start-up, troubleshooting, and repair services on controls and transfer schemes. The technician will also rotate emergency on-call duty and respond to customer emergencies in a timely manner, ensuring all work complies with regulatory laws. Other duties may be assigned by management.
