The Service Field Tech III is responsible for conducting all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental, and contamination control policies, procedures, and regulations. This role requires wearing proper personal protective equipment, attending and completing required technician training, and maintaining a high awareness of applicable technical changes in the industry. The technician will maintain a necessary set of tools to diagnose, disassemble, and assemble components to manufacturer's specifications, performing designated repairs on customer or company-owned equipment. This includes mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair, with the ability to handle lower-level troubleshooting. The role involves working in a neat and orderly fashion, continuously seeking improvements in work methods, work areas, and safety standards. Field service trucks, if applicable, must be maintained in proper condition following contamination control guidelines and general maintenance duties. The technician will inspect components to maximize parts reuse for cost control and complete required documentation using appropriate software to record repairs and account for repair times. Monitoring job expenses against repair estimates and informing the supervisor of any cost overruns before job completion is crucial. The position requires a positive approach to work, maintaining conduct supportive of the team, and setting a standard for others. Contributing to team efforts by accomplishing tasks on time while maintaining safety and quality expectations is also essential. Other duties as assigned.
