About The Position

As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the technical knowledge of new and existing products in engineering associated with the manufacturing process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering from an ABET accredited university, or a minimum of 5 years of experience in aviation MRO operations
  • Must be authorized to work in the US.

Nice To Haves

  • Has a good understanding 14 CFR 21, 33, 43, 91, 121 and 145.
  • 5 year experience in MRO Engineering support and directly supporting 14 CFR 145 operations
  • Executing Power Plant Maintenance program requirements as related to 14 CFR 121
  • Prior experience with RB211-535, LEAP 1A/1B, other CFM or Rolls Royce products
  • Prior experience in the commercial aviation, or airline industry
  • Strong planning, organizational, analytical, leadership, interpersonal, decision making, oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of aerospace materials and processes.
  • In jurisdictions governed by a regulatory body or with an association that is governed by local legal requirements, registration is required.
  • Experience in an aerospace or manufacturing process engineering environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, review, and maintain technical data and documentation in compliance with applicable 14 CFR regulations, including Parts 21, 33, 43, 91, 121, and 145.
  • Serve as the technical liaison for customers, addressing technical and contractual requirements, resolving concerns, and communicating solutions.
  • Review customer requirements and develop engine work scopes, troubleshooting plans, and process direction to support airworthiness and contractual compliance.
  • Provide day-to-day technical support to production, coordinating with Engineering and Operations on repairs, processes, and new product introductions.
  • Ensure proper engine configuration and compliance with applicable Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare engine condition reports and support estimating, invoicing, First Article Inspections, and Material Review Board activities, including evaluation of nonconforming material and repair options.
  • Generate and maintain Shop Orders, Work Instructions, Temporary Overhaul Data Revisions, and other technical documents used to guide shop operations.
  • Support corrective action investigations and continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, turnaround time, cost, and environmental performance.
  • Identify and proactively assess flight/product safety risks, recognize safety-critical parts and processes, and immediately report safety concerns in accordance with Just Culture principles.
  • Provide technical expertise and support for special projects and other duties as assigned.
