About The Position

The Journeyman Electrician / Field Specialist performs commercial electrical service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and small‑project installations across a variety of commercial facilities. This role requires a valid Journeyman Electrician License and strong technical skill in diagnosing and resolving electrical issues in active, occupied buildings.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years in a commercial service role.
  • Expert-level troubleshooting skills in a commercial setting.
  • Ability to run and lead small size projects (1-4 electricians).
  • Possess an active state Journeyman electrical license or higher.
  • OSHA 10 certification
  • Ability to pass a criminal and motor vehicle background check.

  • Familiarity with commercial building systems, including lighting controls, switchgear, and distribution equipment
  • Maintain basic knowledge of control systems and components

Responsibilities

  • Perform commercial electrical service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and small-project installations.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues in active, occupied buildings.
  • Apply advanced knowledge of electrical theory and NEC code.
  • Perform NEC calculations.
  • Execute all types of conduit bends using various bender types.
  • Install raceways, boxes, cables, panels, breakers, and transformers.
  • Assist with wire pulling and switchboard installation.
  • Install light fixtures, devices, and cover plates.
  • Connect branch circuits including terminations and equipment.
  • Perform basic testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Maintain basic knowledge of control systems and components.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
