About The Position
We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Service Dispatcher to join our Service Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating repair orders, scheduling work to technicians, and helping ensure a smooth workflow throughout the shop.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a service dispatcher or in a similar role (preferred)
- Knowledge of automotive repair operations and shop flow
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with scheduling software and dealership management systems
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Responsibilities
- Dispatch service work to technicians based on skill set and availability
- Communicate job status updates to service advisors and management
- Monitor and manage shop capacity to maximize efficiency and productivity
- Prioritize work orders to meet customer deadlines and shop goals
- Maintain accurate logs and records of repairs, technician time, and job progress
- Assist with resolving scheduling conflicts or delays
- Collaborate with the parts department to ensure timely availability of parts
- Support overall customer satisfaction by minimizing wait times and improving service flow
