About The Position

Truck Centers, Inc. is looking for a Service Dispatcher to be the key link between our customers, technicians, and service team. This position will play a crucial role in ensuring our technicians have everything they need to get the job done right—on time and with quality. The role involves coordinating and assigning repairs, monitoring workflow, communicating with customers and team members, collaborating across departments, performing quality control on repair orders, and facilitating shift changes.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years mechanical, trucking, or dealer service experience; 4+ years preferred
Knowledge of Service department operations
Fundamental mechanical aptitude or truck repair experience
Proven supervisory experience and leadership skills
Knowledge of computer operations, data entry, and MS Office with 30wpm typing capability
Demonstrated time management and interpersonal communications skills, even in times of stress
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple projects seamlessly with excellent attention to detail and a solution-focused outlook
Must participate in a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

Procede software experience is a plus
Freightliner dealership experience
CIC Level I or II training

Responsibilities

Assign work to technicians based on skill level, certification, and workload.
Monitor repair progress and make real-time adjustments to keep things moving.
Provide updates to customers and team members on repairs, delays, and estimated completion times.
Work closely with the Service office and Parts team to minimize delays and ensure smooth repairs.
Review completed repair orders to ensure all documentation meets company and warranty guidelines.
Communicate job status and updates to ensure a seamless transition during shift changes.
