About The Position

This position is currently filled, but applications are being accepted to ensure continuity of patient care. The Service Development Representative (SDR) acts as a marketer and case manager within the community, serving as a liaison between providers and referral sources to facilitate smooth transitions of care. The SDR is responsible for developing and implementing business and marketing plans, managing an individual marketing budget, and collaborating with internal teams and the community to identify educational needs. This role involves building referral relationships, acting as an information conduit between the facility and community resources, and conducting pre-admission screenings. The SDR also assists patients and families with care alternatives, communicates screening results, and actively participates in community development of hospital services. Representatives provide consultative and educational services, promote mental health prevention awareness, and sit on community resource boards. The ultimate goal is to foster positive relationships and improve community life for mental health patients.

Requirements

  • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in Sales or Development in healthcare and/or medical industry is required.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing preferred, or Business Development.
  • Experience with a focus on healthcare minimum.

Responsibilities

  • Provide case management functions within the community.
  • Act as a liaison between providers and referral sources to ensure a smooth transition of services.
  • Develop and implement business and marketing plans for the facility.
  • Establish strategic marketing plans to achieve facility objectives.
  • Manage individual marketing budget.
  • Collaborate with the medical director, program administrator, staff, and community to identify educational needs.
  • Develop referral relationships within the community.
  • Act as a conduit for information between the facility and community resources.
  • Collect information from referring professionals or facilities.
  • Meet with potential patients and conduct pre-admission screenings.
  • Obtain minimum information for the clinical team to determine admission eligibility.
  • Assist with care alternatives for patients and families.
  • Communicate results of the pre-screening process and recommendations to the patient/family and referral source.
  • Be active in the community development of hospital services.
  • Provide consultative and educational services throughout the month.
  • Promote mental health prevention awareness.
  • Sit on community resource boards where appropriate.
  • Develop positive relationships with community resources and networks.
  • Provide a seamless continuum of care and maintain positive collaborative relationships.
