About The Position

Located out of Langley, British Columbia, the Service Development Manager (SDM) is responsible for improving Service and Parts Operations in the region. Reporting to the National Manager, Field Service Operations, they will work closely with the Regional Manager, Dealer Business Managers (DBMs) and the service operations team to develop and implement strategies and tools to support growth. The SDM will analyze Retailer financial results as well as other relevant data, reports, and information to identify opportunities for Retailer profit improvement and business growth. This position requires in-depth knowledge of Retailer financial statements, Retailer fixed operations and processes, and the ability to collaborate and support DBMs, Field Technical Managers (FTMs), and our Retailers in the creation and execution of action plans.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must have extensive understanding of financial statements and Retailer KPI’s
  • 5 years of automotive experience including in-depth understanding of Retailer fixed operations
  • Proven communication and leadership skills
  • Strong analytic capabilities in Retailer processes and best practices, and expertise in developing and implementing successful action plans
  • Excellent relationship building skills
  • Strong commitment to customer excellence
  • Strategic thinker with strong implementation skills
  • Strong project and time management skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

  • Act as the subject matter expert in all matters related to Retailer process and procedures, utilizing developed and formalized Mazda Canada strategies.
  • Analyze Retailer financial information including KPIs and other key Retailer reports and data.
  • Work closely with DBMs to support service and parts KPI discussions and collaborate in the development and implementation of action plans for improvement.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to consistently use a comprehensive KPI dashboard to monitor Retailer performance.
  • Complete detailed agendas for Retailer meetings and follow-up contact report summaries including action plan commitments and performance metric tracking.
  • Conduct training on our formalized processes and procedures with Retailers, DBMs and FTMs based on required needs.
  • Support national rollouts and actively participate in any national training.

Benefits

  • Hiring Salary Range for position: $85,000 - $102,500 CAD.
