About The Position

This is a long-term contract position for a Service Desk role located in Columbus, OH. The role involves hybrid work, with an expectation to be onsite every third day. The primary responsibilities include managing IT equipment, updating inventory systems, processing salvage equipment, packing and unpacking equipment for shipment, and fulfilling equipment requests. The role also includes reconciling inventory sheets, validating equipment in the IT Operations Room, and serving as a backup for level 1 support.

Requirements

  • IT Experience Required 2 Years
  • Have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, the ability to manage time and resources to meet assigned deadlines Required
  • Have excellent organizational skills, proven analytical, planning, problem solving, and decision-making skills Required
  • Education in IT Support Required

Nice To Haves

  • Inventory Management experience Highly desired

Responsibilities

  • Process all equipment coming into or leaving IT
  • Update Asset Inventory System
  • Process Salvage equipment (removing the hard drives, doing entire process)
  • Unpacking and packing boxes for equipment and preparing it for shipment to ACF or other sites
  • Pickup and Deliver equipment from DIS/Excel/DTS/ETC
  • Complete any Service Now tickets on equipment requests (ie monitors, keyboards, mice, HDMI cables, etc)
  • Reconcile all Inventory sheets (paper/electronic) on daily basis
  • Validate all of the IT Operations Room equipment weekly to ensure inventory is up to date and correct
  • Serves as backup contact for level 1 support
