About The Position

A growing Managed Service Provider (MSP) in Northeast Wisconsin is seeking a Level 2 IT Support Technician to join its team. This role offers a blend of help desk and field work, ideal for someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and direct client interaction rather than a fully desk-bound position. You’ll support a diverse client base across multiple industries, requiring adaptability, technical curiosity, and strong communication skills. This role is primarily onsite, with occasional remote flexibility. Requirements

  • Experience in help desk, service desk, or technical support roles
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory, Office 365, and endpoint environments
  • Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and documentation standards
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (local travel required; company vehicle provided)
  • Ability to lift/install equipment and perform light physical work

Nice To Haves

  • MSP or multi-client environment experience
  • Exposure to varied industries (SMB, manufacturing, healthcare, etc.)
  • Basic networking, server, or infrastructure knowledge
  • Experience with Azure or modern endpoint management tools

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client IT issues via phone, email, and ticketing system
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Tier 1–2 issues (Active Directory, O365, endpoints, printers, connectivity)
  • Provision and configure user accounts, laptops, and desktops
  • Document work clearly in PSA/ticketing tools
  • Escalate complex issues as needed while maintaining ownership of the client experience
  • Travel to client sites within 60 miles
  • Install and configure IT infrastructure (servers, switches, firewalls)
  • Perform “rack & stack,” cable management, and hardware deployments
  • Run and terminate Cat6 cabling
  • Install endpoints such as monitors, TVs, and cameras
  • Support office moves and onsite equipment setups
  • Use basic power tools safely and effectively
  • Handle escalated and more complex technical issues
  • Contribute to infrastructure, cloud, and project-based work
  • Support and mentor junior technicians
  • Play a key role in onsite installations and client projects
