Service Desk Analyst 2
About The Position
This role is responsible for managing the IT Asset Inventory within ODPS. Key duties include processing equipment, updating the Asset Inventory System, handling salvage equipment, packing and shipping equipment, and fulfilling equipment requests. The position also involves reconciling inventory sheets, validating equipment in the IT Operations Room, and serving as a backup for level 1 support. The work schedule is hybrid, with onsite presence required every third day at 1970 West Broad Street, Columbus. Candidates must demonstrate competence and experience in their specific areas of project assignment during the interview process.
Requirements
- Competence/experience in specific area(s) of project assignment.
- Documented experience for review and verification.
- Willing and able to interview in person.
- Willing to complete an FBI fingerprint check.
Responsibilities
- Manage IT Asset Inventory within ODPS.
- Process all equipment coming into or leaving IT.
- Update Asset Inventory System.
- Process salvage equipment (removing hard drives, etc.).
- Unpack and pack boxes for equipment and prepare for shipment.
- Pick up and deliver equipment from various locations.
- Complete Service Now tickets for equipment requests (monitors, keyboards, mice, HDMI cables, etc.).
- Reconcile all inventory sheets (paper/electronic) on a daily basis.
- Validate all IT Operations Room equipment weekly to ensure inventory is up to date and correct.
- Serve as backup contact for level 1 support.
