About The Position

This role involves managing the IT Asset Inventory within ODPS. Responsibilities include processing equipment, updating the Asset Inventory System, handling salvage equipment (including hard drive removal), unpacking and packing equipment for shipment, and delivering equipment. The analyst will also complete Service Now tickets for equipment requests, reconcile inventory sheets daily, and validate IT Operations Room equipment weekly. This position serves as a backup contact for level 1 support.

Requirements

  • Competence/experience in specific area(s) of project assignment
  • Documented experience for review and verification
  • Understanding and agreement to abide by the provision that it is PROHIBITED for government equipment to be taken or used outside of the United States
  • Willing and able to interview in person
  • Willing to complete an FBI fingerprint check
  • Must be able to interview in person at 1970 West Broad Street, Columbus

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with IT Asset Inventory management
  • Experience with Service Now ticketing system

Responsibilities

  • Manage IT Asset Inventory within ODPS
  • Process all equipment coming into or leaving IT
  • Update Asset Inventory System
  • Process salvage equipment (removing hard drives, completing the entire process)
  • Unpack and pack boxes for equipment and prepare it for shipment to ACF or other DPS sites
  • Pick up and deliver equipment from DIS/Excel/DTS/ETC
  • Complete Service Now tickets on equipment requests (e.g., monitors, keyboards, mice, HDMI cables)
  • Reconcile all inventory sheets (paper/electronic) on a daily basis
  • Validate all of the IT Operations Room equipment weekly to ensure inventory is up to date and correct
  • Serve as backup contact for level 1 support
