About The Position

We are a family owned and operated business that values loyalty, hard work, and doing things the right way. For 60 years, we have provided top tier environmental machinery to local municipalities. We are looking for an organized leader to help modernize our service desk. We are hiring a Service Department Writer to take ownership of our repair quoting process. Our shop foreman is a master mechanic but relies on this role to handle the computer work, billing, and customer updates. You will be the administrative backbone of the shop floor.

Requirements

• Experience writing service tickets in an automotive, truck, or equipment setting.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Tech savvy, with a strong preference for QuickBooks experience.
• Capable of commuting reliably to our Farmingdale facility.
• Must pass a standard background check.

Responsibilities

• Interview technicians to gather necessary data for repair orders.
• Draft accurate estimates and explain them clearly to clients.
• Track the status of all machinery currently in the shop.
• Process payments and manage job closures in the system.
