Service Delivery Manager

Microsoft•Reno, NV

About The Position

The Service Delivery Manager (SDM) is accountable for vendor delivery across VL operations, including quality, speed, cost efficiency, compliance, and customer satisfaction. Serving as the central link between Microsoft, vendor partners, and cross-functional stakeholders, the SDM develops vendor management into a proactive, results-focused partnership. This is an individual-contributor role that leads through influence rather than direct authority. At Level 62, the SDM independently runs governance across vendors, sites, and time zones, with responsibility for financial and risk stewardship, continuous improvement, and responsible use of AI and automation. The role owns vendor performance against SLAs, KPIs, and contract commitments; runs performance reviews and escalations; analyzes operational data; manages financial and capacity planning; and helps reduce operational, commercial, security, compliance, and customer-impact risks. It also partners with internal teams on vendor lifecycle and contract matters, process improvements, AI and automation initiatives, onboarding, transitions, and releases. The SDM coordinates across vendors and Microsoft functions, and clearly communicates options, trade-offs, and recommendations to senior leaders. Microsoft describes its mission as empowering every person and organization on the planet to achieve more, and its culture as centered on a growth mindset and encouraging teams and leaders to bring their best each day.
