About The Position

The Hotline Administrator will supervise a team of supervisors and support staff while ensuring a high-level of customer service and quality of excellence is portrayed at all times. The Nebraska Child and Adult Abuse Hotline is operational 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year—even in the event of a natural disaster. We are seeking a high-energy, innovative thinker looking to take on the challenge of leading this dynamic team and working to implement strategies that will allow for Nebraska’s Abuse Hotline to be world-class and of superior quality. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in social services, business administration, public administration, human development, human services, behavioral health, law, special education, or other closely related field AND two years supervisory experience in a human services field; OR a Master’s degree in any of the above-mentioned fields.
  • Equivalent experience or coursework/training may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
  • Valid Driver's license is required.
  • SDM training required.
  • Bachelors degree required

Nice To Haves

  • Child Welfare/Human Services Supervisory experience of 3 years or more; masters degree preferred.
  • business administration, public administration, psychology, social work, criminal justice, law, or any closely related field.
  • Lean Six Sigma, PMP, and/or COA reviewer.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to administer multiple priorities across program lines and provide oversight of all operational and programmatic matters for the DHHS Abuse and Neglect Hotline.
  • Oversee, monitor and support the Support teams.
  • Work with Learning and Development to ensure implementation of training model.
  • Understand and have knowledge of the needs of various populations and the effect of poverty versus safety for children and how to best deliver services to children, families and vulnerable adults.
  • Requires a high-level of managerial talent, ethical business judgment, and knowledge of the agency's policies and practices.
  • Superior written and oral communication skills to communicate with multiple layers of leadership
  • Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations relating to the administration of child and family services
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and practices of various programs of the organization and administration of the human service or human resources programs managed.
