About The Position

Mission Chevrolet is seeking a motivated, customer-service-oriented individual to join its service department as a Service Dispatcher/Courier. This is a full-time, hourly position in the auto industry, paying $15–$20 per hour based on experience, with biweekly pay. The role coordinates and controls the flow of service work through the department in a professional and timely manner. It requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, math and computer proficiency, good communication, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, technology-oriented environment and learn new software quickly.

Responsibilities

Implement and maintain an effective dispatch system.
Schedule shop work to maximize productivity in accordance with dealership policy and technician skill levels.
Prioritize and control comeback repairs to ensure prompt, appropriate attention.
Ensure repair orders are properly documented, including the complaint, cause, correction, and punch time for each operation.
Frequently review job status, log updates, and report changes to time or cost estimates to the appropriate service advisor and/or customer.
Maintain timely, professional contact with service advisors, technicians, and management.
Maintain an organized, up-to-date repair log.
Review technicians’ hard-copy repair orders to confirm assigned work was performed and the orders were completed properly.
Communicate job status with the next-shift supervisor.
Maintain a clean work area and professional appearance.
Perform other tasks as assigned based on company needs.
