About The Position

The Service Coordinator is the primary administrative and coordination hub for the Service Department. This role is responsible for scheduling service work, supporting field staff, communicating with clients and ensuring service requests are documented, tracked, and completed. The ideal candidate will have experience in the construction industry, is highly organized, customer-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. The Service Coordinator works under the supervision of the Service Manager and is a full-time, non-exempt role located in JTM’s offices in the Georgetown neighborhood of Seattle.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • One to three years of experience in construction, service coordination or administrative support at a general contractor
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands
  • Professional customer service demeanor
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams)
  • Familiarity with construction terminology, work orders, and service workflows
  • Ability to remain calm and solution-oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule service calls, warranty work, and small projects with clients.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for service-related communication, including intake of requests and status updates.
  • Create, manage, and track work orders, service tickets, and job documents to ensure accurate records and timely closeout.
  • Process and coordinate approved work, including ordering equipment, applicable permits, parts, and materials, and communicating with dispatch.
  • Communicate service issues, escalations or delays to the Service Manager.
  • Support billing readiness by ensuring service documentation, tickets, and approvals are complete and accurate.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Service Department, including phone coverage and email monitoring.
  • Assist with warranty tracking and follow up as required.
  • Proactively manage customer relationships to foster additional work.
