The Service Coordinator is responsible for implementing company policies in the shop environment and has a direct impact on the shop budget through control of overtime, proper paperwork flow and completion, adequate warranty information, follow-up on shop procedures, and service tracking. This role involves entering descriptions of repairs, coding work, and recording technician's time. Specific tasks include opening and closing repair orders, taking driver write-ups, interacting with drivers, maintaining input into the shop log, reviewing and correcting shop repair orders, parts distribution, tracking outside repairs, and communication with operations. In the absence of a lead technician on any shift, the position acts in the role of lead technician and makes all decisions related to the performance of that position. This includes directly supervising technicians for productivity, quality of repair, and proper diagnosis. The role also requires maintaining proper attendance and punctuality to ensure efficient and cost-effective department operation. The Service Coordinator must be able to work on a TTMS site or TTMS customer location site while performing the essential functions of this position. Other duties may be assigned by Management.
