About The Position
North Bay Regional Center (NBRC) is a nonprofit private corporation that contracts with the Department of Developmental Services to coordinate services and supports for individuals with developmental disabilities. NBRC promotes opportunities by supporting choices for people with developmental disabilities. In the role of Social Services Case Manager, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of services to regional center clients, including those with intensive physical or emotional needs, ensuring the client's Individual Program Plan and its objectives are pursued.
Requirements
- Enjoy working with clients and assisting people with developmental disabilities.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a field which offers content related to developmental disabilities (i.e. Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Special Education, and/or Nursing). Minimum education requirement may not be waived.
- 3 years’ experience working with individuals with developmental disability.
- Must live within commute distance to their preferred NBRC office, as well as the geographical location of their assigned clients.

- Bilingual language ability (Spanish to English) is preferred.
- For those speaking, reading and writing other than English – $225 per month
- For those speaking a language other than English – $150 per month
- For those using American Sign language – $200 per month
Responsibilities
- Using person-centered planning to assist clients in the use of public and private resources before using regional center funds to purchase services.
- Monitoring vendor services and verifying that services are delivered in accordance with the purchase of service authorizations.
- Evaluating the effectiveness of clients’ Individual Program Plans and ensuring that appropriate community resources are made available to the client.
- Conducting annual reassessments of clients’ developmental status in conjunction with the interdisciplinary team.
- Conducting client assessments on an occasional basis.
