Position Summary The Service Coordinator supports the daily operations of an inpatient unit by providing essential clerical and administrative support to the healthcare team, patients, and families. This role helps ensure efficient communication, accurate patient documentation, and availability of supplies, contributing to a smooth and organized patient care environment.

Requirements

High school diploma required; additional training or experience preferred
Less than one year of related experience required; 1–2 years preferred

Responsibilities

Coordinate communication between staff, patients, and families, ensuring timely and accurate information flow and supporting unit operations (phones, paging, call systems).
Manage unit inventory by ordering and maintaining supplies, equipment, and medications to support uninterrupted care.
Maintain and process medical records, including patient admissions, documentation, chart audits, and discharge records.
Support quality improvement initiatives and promote efficient use of time and resources.
Demonstrate ongoing professional development and commitment to service excellence and patient safety.
