About The Position

This is an entry-level position where the employee will gain skills through structured training and guided on-the-job training. The role involves both field time at project sites and office time. A supervisor will screen assignments for unusual or difficult problems and select techniques and procedures for non-routine work. The employee will receive close supervision on new aspects of assignments. Progression requires demonstrating skills and knowledge of the current position, with a minimum of 24 months in each position. The employee must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, with reasonable accommodations made for qualified individuals with disabilities.

Requirements

  • High school graduation or equivalent required.
  • 0-2 Years Experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office preferred
  • A valid Florida Driver’s license
  • Willingness to obtain company-provided training/certifications, such as; First Aid/CPR Training, 40Hour OSHA HAZWOPER, OSHA 10 Hour Construction Industry Course
  • Hearing and vision within normal ranges are essential for normal conversations in receiving ordinary information, preparing, inspecting, or reviewing documents.
  • Activities require the ability to remain in a stationary position roughly 50% of the time and move about an office and/or work site the other half of the time.
  • Occasional heavy lifting (30+ lbs / 13.6+ kg) can be expected, though exertion of up to 10 lbs of force is more common.
  • Need good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment (e.g., computers, mobile devices, copiers).
  • Frequent walking and climbing (stairs, ladders, terrain)
  • Frequent lifting (up to and including 50 pounds)
  • Frequent bending, twisting, and standing
  • Exposure to working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Must wear required PPE, including steel-toed boots in the field; may be necessary to wear protective eyewear and hearing protection; and must be able to travel by car.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with preparing and obtaining purchase orders.
  • Assist with preparing proposals for service calls and projects.
  • Assist with obtaining vendor/subcontractor quotes.
  • Oversee subcontractors in the field, including testing companies, electrical subcontractors, surveyors, waste removal, etc.
  • Assist with coordinating and scheduling work with Service Technicians.
  • Assist with project invoicing.
  • Assist with procuring construction permits.
  • Provide technical assistance to the Construction Division to assist with issues that may impact project schedules and budgets.
  • Prepare supporting data tables in Excel.
  • Apply standard practices and techniques in specific situations.
  • Adjust and correlate data.
  • Recognise discrepancies in technical data.
  • Follow operations through a series of related, detailed steps or processes.
  • Work as part of a team or individually.
  • Performs any other duties per the direction of the Service Manager.
  • Follow the dictates and recommendations of the Safety Department.
  • Be familiar with CEI Corporate HASP or project-specific HASP, as required.
