About The Position

Carolina CAT - Power Systems is seeking a Service Coordinator to provide support for the Power Generation Service Department. This role is critical to the daily operations involving equipment service and repairs, requiring constant interaction with parts, service, and sales teams. Effective customer communication is essential. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Excellent working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience in a fast-paced customer-oriented environment is essential.
  • Willingness to learn all aspects of service office operations.
  • Ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment and understand the importance of positive customer relations.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and percentages.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic math.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to sit.
  • Must frequently lift, carry, push, pull and/or otherwise move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

  • Two or Four-year degree is highly preferred.
  • Previous experience in the Power Generation industry highly preferred.
  • Experience with SAP software.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the status of each vehicle repair to ensure all appropriate information is collected for timely invoicing.
  • Review technician service reports to ensure appropriate warranty information is present and prepare for filing.
  • Review service reports prior to customer billing.
  • Collect all cash sales.
  • Close work orders, which may include warranty work.
  • Be available during normal business hours to assist in any area where help is needed.
  • Gather PO#s and approvals for closing work orders.
  • Monitor work in process daily for accuracy.
  • Process payroll for department employees.
  • Reconcile P-Card transactions for the shop.
  • Ensure all needed office supplies are on hand.
  • Assist the Service Manager in preparing customer quotes and billings.
  • Take customer calls to schedule repairs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
