About The Position

This position provides professional support to individuals with disabilities who've selected PICS as their provider for 245D basic services. The position requires regular interaction with a variety of individuals including participants and their families, county staff, other provider agencies, and internal PICS staff. This is a hybrid work schedule, working from home 75% of the time, and 25% out in the community attending participant annual meetings. Service coordinators work with participants and their families providing education of program requirements, processing enrollments, renewals, attending participant annual team meetings, and managing the overall service delivery process.

Requirements

• Four year college degree.
• A minimum of two years of training and experience working with people with disabilities and their families.
• Experience in a waivered service program coordination/management.
• A valid driver's license, acceptable driving record and a Motor Vehicle Check.
• Ability to travel locally to meet with families.
• Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new software.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency working with numbers.
• Ability to be well organized, detail oriented and perform a variety of on-going tasks in a fast-paced office environment.

Responsibilities

• Providing education of program requirements to participants and their families.
• Processing enrollments and renewals.
• Attending participant annual team meetings.
• Managing the overall service delivery process.
• Writing policies/articles/presentations for public use.
• Responding to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the community.
• Reading, analyzing, and interpreting Department of Human Services’ policies and regulations as well as applicable state and federal laws related to service delivery under Individualized Home Supports (IHS).
