Service Coordinator (VEF) - Adult Unit
About The Position
North Bay Regional Center (NBRC) is seeking a dedicated Service Coordinator to join their team. NBRC is a nonprofit private corporation that contracts with the Department of Developmental Services to coordinate services and supports for individuals with developmental disabilities. In this role, you will manage the delivery of services to regional center clients, including those with intensive physical or emotional needs, ensuring their Individual Program Plan and its objectives are pursued. NBRC is committed to promoting opportunities and supporting choices for people with developmental disabilities, aiming to help clients achieve their goals and dreams.
Requirements
- Enjoy working with clients and assisting people with developmental disabilities.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a field which offers content related to developmental disabilities (i.e. Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Special Education, and/or Nursing). Minimum education requirement may not be waived.
- 3 years’ experience working with individuals with developmental disability.
- Candidates for employment must live within commute distance to their preferred NBRC office, as well as the geographical location of their assigned clients.
Nice To Haves
- Master’s Degree preferred.
- Bilingual language ability (Spanish to English) is preferred.
- Bilingual Spanish/English skills are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Using person-centered planning to assist clients in utilizing public and private resources before using regional center funds to purchase services.
- Monitoring vendor services and verifying that services are delivered in accordance with the purchase of service authorizations.
- Evaluating the effectiveness of clients’ Individual Program Plans and ensuring appropriate community resources are made available to the client.
- Conducting annual reassessments of clients’ developmental status in conjunction with the interdisciplinary team.
- Conducting client assessments on an occasional basis.
