About The Position
Westminster Manor in Ft. Walton Beach, FL. is seeking an experienced Service Coordinator/Social Worker for its senior living apartment community. The Social Worker/Service Coordinator will be responsible for conducting a person-centered assessment to understand the needs of the residents and will develop and modify a resident's required services. The position requires a knowledge of supportive services and other resources needed for the population of the community. The Social Worker must demonstrate the ability to advocate, organize, problem-solve and provide results for the elderly and disabled served.
Requirements
- B.A. degree in Social Work or Gerontology, Psychology or Counseling
- Two to three years of experience in social service delivery with senior citizens and non-elderly disabled
- Demonstrated working knowledge of supportive services and other resources needed for the population of the community
- Ability to advocate, organize, problem-solve and provide results for the elderly and disabled served
- Knowledge of Florida background screening requirements
