About The Position

The Service Coordinator Supervisor will oversee advocacy, crisis intervention, support services, and coordination with funding sources for the service coordination program at all assigned properties. Ensures that their assigned program meets or exceeds program objectives, oversees the provision of high-quality services for program participants, and further ensures on-going compliance with funder requirements and agency policy and procedure. Responsible for the recruitment, training, supervision and scheduling of staff, volunteers, and interns. Position requires ongoing interaction with team members, program participants, and community stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one (1) year of supervisory or leadership experience, or demonstrated experience overseeing staff, programs, or projects.
  • At least one (1) year of experience in Service Coordination, Case Management, or a closely related field.
  • Valid Colorado driver’s license and proof of state-required automobile insurance.
  • Ability to travel locally as required to support assigned sites and staff.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, or a closely related field.
  • Two (2) or more years of supervisory or management experience.
  • Experience working with individuals experiencing mental health challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance and consult in appropriate area of social work practices, agency program policies, and fair housing laws and practices for the Service Coordinator component.
  • Assist with SC program staff vacancies as they arise in accordance with agency guidelines.
  • Ensures that the resident’s voice is heard and incorporated in programming.
  • Responsible for the on-going monitoring of service provision, including oversight of all operational program components from outreach to program exit.
  • Recruits, hires, trains, coaches, mentors, and supervises assigned program and support staff and implements on- going training and staff development activities. Supervises volunteers and interns.
  • Assists Service Coordinators in accessing resources and problem-solving to meet resident needs. Ensures team members are receiving appropriate support.
  • Works closely with managers, supervisors and others ensure team members are receiving appropriate support and have a comprehensive array of referral sources.
  • Assists team in coordinating and connecting with services for program participants.
  • Supervises the provision of support services provided by team members, ensuring adherence to program requirements and field-relevant best practices and standards.
  • Monitors and performs scheduling functions ensuring adequate coverage for resident accessibility.
  • Monitors all aspects of program documentation completed by assigned staff.
  • Monitors service logs and progress notes and completed files.
  • Maintains a positive working relationship with property management and other VOA staff. Acts as a community liaison maintaining cooperative working relations throughout the community.
  • Facilitates the delivery of appropriate services for all participant households as indicated by relevant service modalities through an equity lens.
  • Supervises volunteers and interns as assigned.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of population-specific resources, a passion for serving the individual and family population and people experiencing homelessness, and the ability to contribute to the program-wide objectives of a diverse and dynamic team.
  • Attends orientations, trainings, education programs, staff meetings, community meetings, conferences, and workshops as requested and applicable to meet the needs of the position. May provide training and mentorship to team members and community stakeholders regarding best practices in relevant service models and practices.
  • Performs duties in a professional manner by maintaining the confidentially of all information and by participating effectively within and across teams.
  • Performs job responsibilities in accordance with the Social Work Code of Ethics.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
  • Direct Supervision of assigned Service Coordinators serving in Colorado.
