About The Position

The Facilities Service Center Supervisor plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of Facilities Management on the Daytona Beach Campus. This position oversees the coordination, screening, documentation, and dispatching of Facilities service requests received through phone, email, Ready Request, staff requests, and contractor requests. The Supervisor serves as a central point of contact for Facilities Management, coordinating service requests across multiple trades and assisting with Facilities support for special events. This position also oversees the Vehicle Loaner Program, monitors the KeyTrak system, coordinates with external maintenance contractors, and provides support for the department’s front desk operations. In addition, the Facilities Service Center Supervisor supervises two part-time student employees, including responsibility for interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, and day-to-day supervision. The position also coordinates student support projects for Facilities managers and helps ensure a high level of service and performance across the Service Center. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED-level education with proficiency in grammar, spelling, basic composition, and mathematics.
  • 3–5 years of related administrative experience.
  • Prior experience performing customer service functions by phone and in person.
  • Strong analytical skills and in-depth knowledge of information systems.
  • Technical proficiency with Microsoft operating systems and applications, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook/email, and Internet-based end-user applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize requests, analyze information, and make appropriate decisions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and interact professionally with coworkers, customers, and other individuals.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and follow established guidelines and procedures.
  • Ability to maintain a consistent work pace, meet established schedules, and maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to communicate detailed information accurately and effectively.
  • Ability to respond appropriately to changing priorities and multiple simultaneous requests.
  • In the event of a disaster, may be required to participate in recovery operations and work outdoors in inclement weather and subtropical conditions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using an Integrated Workplace Management System (IWMS), Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), or similar software.
  • Working knowledge or experience in facilities/trades-related areas such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or building components.
  • Experience coordinating service requests, dispatching personnel, or working in a facilities service center environment.
  • Previous experience supervising, training, or scheduling student employees.
