About The Position

Medtronic’s Rice Creek, MN location is looking for a Technician II that will be responsible for supporting the service and repair of Neuromodulation and Pelvic Health divisions with opportunities to work on additional products. This position performs a variety of tasks including, diagnosing, and reporting product findings, troubleshooting, parts management, repair, packaging, data gathering, leading lean manufacturing improvements, assessing inventory and prioritization of daily work, presenting to management and engineering, and utilizing ERP and QMS systems.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent, plus two years relevant work experience

  • Experience in medical product manufacturing / assembly operations
  • Experience working in FDA & ISO 13485 regulated industry
  • Associate degree or technical certificate in relevant field

  • Technical knowledge of manufacturing processes
  • Experience with ERP system such as SAP or Oracle
  • Mechanical and electrical print reading skills for use in diagnosing and correcting equipment/tooling issues
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Good computer skills (MS Word, Excel)
  • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of duties on electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical devices.
  • Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems.
  • Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
  • Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format.
  • Some experience with cycle counting and inventory management.
  • Ability to take initiative and be self-managed.
  • Ability to implement countermeasures to work through technical roadblocks.
