About The Position

The Service Center Manager is responsible for collaborating with the maintenance and equipment cleaning functions for the Service Center, management of assigned personnel, overseeing independent contractor relations. Expected results are to attain Service Center revenue budget goals and objectives including but not limited to continuous improvement of the services provided to the customer, efficient operation of the Service Center and assigned equipment, proper staffing and utilization of facility and equipment. All areas within the Service Center Manager’s scope of responsibility must be in full compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations and within company policies, procedures, and regulations.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of supervisory experience required.
  • High school diploma or equivalency required.
  • Liquid bulk tanker experience required.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and personal liability insurance coverage at or above the legal state of residence minimum requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Transportation, maintenance, and/or equipment cleaning experience preferred.
  • Tenure and experience at Highway Transport may be considered in lieu of position requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Leading, directing, and overseeing employees at the service center.
  • Managing the Service Centers hiring process by selecting the best qualified applicants for office staffing and driver staffing.
  • Measuring, setting, and driving company KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators).
  • Monitoring and meeting profit and loss goals.
  • Training and development of drivers and operations staff.
  • Providing a safe and efficient working environment for employees.
  • Communicating timely and effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Directing service center’s transportation activities to maintain efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitoring operational metrics throughout service center and ensuring all local, federal, and state regulations are met.
  • Ensuring operations align with company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborating with safety and HR departments on all compliance and disciplinary matters.
  • Advocating and maintaining commitment to safety.
  • Working jointly with Maintenance and Equipment Cleaning functions for the Service Center and third-party vendors.
  • Performing all other duties as specified.
