About The Position

Henley Companies, the largest franchisee of Valvoline Instant Oil Change, is seeking experienced leaders to fill the Service Center Manager position. This role offers an opportunity to gain comprehensive knowledge of service center operations, develop leadership skills, take on significant responsibility, and advance within the company. As a Service Center Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations and driving the success of your team and the service center, with a clear path for career progression.

  • Able to learn and follow the VIOC SuperPro process for all services.
  • Achieve SuperPro certification.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service and address any concerns or questions.
  • Perform oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication services for vehicles.
  • Inspect vehicles for any potential issues or areas that require attention.
  • Conduct basic maintenance tasks such as tire rotations and fluid level checks.
  • Basic computer knowledge/aptitude
  • Keep track of inventory and ensure all supplies are readily available.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Inspect and replace car lights and wipers.
  • Check fluid levels and add fluids to vehicle when necessary.
  • Inspect/replace engine air filter and cabin air filter.
  • Add oil to engine in the proper amount based on specifications of vehicle make/model.
  • Remove/rotate/lift/reinstall tires for tire rotation service.
  • Lubricate necessary components of the chassis/driveline.
  • Perform additional services on cooling systems and transmissions.
  • Perform second checks by visually verifying and performing proper callouts to ensure all necessary services have been performed correctly.
  • Move from bay to bay to perform services on multiple vehicles.
  • Frequently ascend/descend stairs/catwalks/stepstools to retrieve vehicle parts (filters, wipers, etc.) or perform services top side or underneath the vehicle (drain oil, replace filter, differential services, lubrication).
  • Work for extended periods of time with arms above your head when performing services underneath the vehicle on a catwalk.
  • Constantly position self to perform required services under the hood, related to tires, or on catwalk working underneath the vehicle.
  • Move/transport items up to approximately 50 pounds.
  • Work with tools to perform duties in tight sometimes hard to reach areas.
  • Communicate verbally and receive verbal communication to ensure services are performed accurately, safely and in the proper order.
